White Bougainvillea – Live Plant in a 3 Gallon Pot – Beautiful and Vibrant Flowering Shrub

A thorny, woody, floriferous vine native to South America, bougainvillea (Bougainvillea species) is a tropical plant that thrives outdoors in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 9b and above. A thornless variety, this white Bougainvillea is prized for its brilliant white clusters of flowers and semidwarf growing habit. The long, large elliptical leaves are medium to dark green. The plant is often used as a ground cover or mass planting, reaching a mature height of 2 to 3 feet tall. This variety is more tolerant of rains and high humidity, thus is able to flower prolifically even during South Floridas wet summer. Fertilizing sparingly throughout the growing season will encourage new growth, which in turn is when the flowering occurs. A good loose, humus soil is best. Feeding and tip pruning should be done at the end of each bloom cycle.
