Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Use a peat moss-based mix to optimise germination (21-24C). Transplant the 4cm seedlings into individual pots and reduce the temperature to 15-18C. Once hardened off, plant out in the ground or in a container in late May, spacing 60cm apart.
Apply constant and foot watering to limit diseases. Mulching helps preserve moisture and protects the fruit from soil splashes.

Patio Mini is a compact dwarf hybrid, tailor-made for pots on the deck or tiny gardens. A vigorous cropper, produces glossy red medium-sized fruit, on deep green, bushy determinate plants. Staking is optional, as Patio Mini only grows to 70cm tall. Sow direct in warm conditions or raise in trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and keep moist. Transplant when 5cm high. Choose a well drained sunny position. Great companion plant for basil, broccoli, carrots, celery, onions, marigolds, marjoram, parsley & parsnip. If planted in pots, don’t let the potting mix dry out completely. Germination 5 – 7 days | Maturity 10 weeks
