Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before transplanting , maintaining a temperature of 27-31C to promote rapid germination . Harden off seedlings before transplanting to the garden when night temperatures are above 12C . Plant 1 cm (1/2″) deep , spacing 30-45 cm (12-18″) between plants and 45-60 cm (18-24″) between rows .
Harvest green peppers to stimulate extended production , or wait until they are fully ripe to enjoy their intense sweet flavor and bright red color .
Store peppers in a cool, humid place (10-12C, 95% relative humidity). To extend their shelf life, roast and freeze them , or dry them for use throughout the year.
