Alocasia ‘Serendipity’ is a vigorous, fast-growing hybrid created by breeder LariAnn Garner. Often called the “Black Elephant Ear,” it features massive, heart-shaped leaves with a deeply puckered (bullate) texture and ruffled edges. The foliage showcases a moody, reddish-bronze or dark green upper surface that contrasts sharply with rich maroon-purple undersides and dark stems. In ideal conditions, this striking plant can reach heights of 4 to 6 feet, though it requires high humidity to maintain its velvety appearance.
