Sedirea japonica is an orchid native to the subtropical regions of Korea and Japan. Actually, the officially accepted name today is Phalaenopsis japonica, but many enthusiasts still know this orchid by its old name “Sedirea japonica.” Other synonyms are Aerides japonica and Hygrochilus japonica.
It is an orchid that grows small white and pink flowers. The fragrance of the flowers resembles lime, making it fruity and fresh.
The care of this orchid is relatively simple. Although they like to receive lots of indirect light and grow more optimally with high humidity and in warmer tropical climates, they can also grow and bloom well at room temperatures. Do give these orchids rainwater and do not leave the roots wet for too long.
