Magnolia sargentiana robusta is magnificent cultivar that holds its large 15 20 cm flowers upright like candelabras. Blooms are white, flushed mauve-pink but darker on the outside, and appear before the leaves. The pointed buds of Magnolia sargentiana var robusta are enclosed in leathery bracts which are covered with silky hairs. A spectacular feature tree.
