Tiny silver flecks scattered across every leaf like a night sky. Hoya carnosa ‘Stardust’ produces the same thick, waxy, oval leaves as the standard carnosa, but each leaf is dusted with fine silver-white speckles that give the foliage a frosted, celestial quality. The effect is subtle but distinctive, especially when the leaves catch the light. It trails or climbs, and in the right conditions produces clusters of pink flowers with a glossy, jewel-like texture
Origins
Hoya carnosa is native to East Asia and Australasia, growing as an epiphyte in tropical and subtropical forest canopy. ‘Stardust’ is a cultivar selected for its fine silver-white leaf speckling.
Soil and Substrate
Our Hoya Premium Potting Mix is peat-free and specifically formulated for Hoyas, combining bark, tree fern, perlite, pumice, charcoal, and coco husk for excellent drainage and aeration. Allow the substrate to dry between waterings. Bright, indirect light encourages the best speckling and the highest chance of flowering.
