Stiff, upright, overlapping fronds with a dense and clumping growth habit. The leaflets develop ruffled edges. Prefers bright indirect light and consistent moisture. Unlike some Boston ferns, this variety is said to be sterile, so will not produce spores. It reproduces by rhizomes that spread through the soil.
