The Alocasia chantrieri is a rare tropical hybrid, believed to be a cross betweenA. watsonii and A. cuprea. It is defined by its thick, leathery leaves that showcase a dark, metallic green-to-blue sheen and prominent, light-colored veins. The undersides of the foliage are a striking reddish-purple, adding a bold splash of color to its moody aesthetic. This variety typically reaches a height of 12 to 36 inches and, like most elephant ears, requires high humidity to stay healthy.
