This vitamin, also known as folate, works with vitamins B12 and C to create and repair DNA and aid in red blood cell production. Folates involvement in DNA production makes it an especially important nutrient during pregnancy. When these processes are impeded due to a deficiency, it can lead to a shortage of red blood cells, which in turn deprives body tissues of oxygen and leads to anemia. This deficiency can be caused by certain conditions that impact nutrient absorption, such as Crohns, celiac and kidney issues.

Directions
Children 1-3: Take 1 drop per day or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Children 4-8: Take 2 drops per day or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Adolescents 9-13: Take 3 drops per day or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Adolescents 14-18: Take 4 drops per day or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Adults: Take 5 drops per day or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Ages 14 and up: 400 mcg of folate per day is adequate for most women to reduce the risk of neural tube defects. Consult a healthcare practitioner to determine if you would benefit from additional folate before taking this product
