Aloe vera is native to the Arabian Peninsula. Light: Bright, direct light. Can tolerate bright, indirect light as well. Water: Water when the soil is 100% dry. You will notice leaves start to wrinkle and feel softer/squishier to the touch. Repotting: Repot into a nutrient rich, desert soil. Desert soil has more drainage than most potting mixes which allows it to be less moisture retentive. Terra cotta pots or unglazed clay pots are preferred for desert plants to allow proper airflow and moisture loss. Pet-Safe: No, contains harmful saponins that can be toxic when injested.
