A reliable semi-evergreen shrub, commonly known as Glossy abelia, well suited to UK gardens, prized for its sweetly scented pink blooms.

Growing to around 2m tall by 3m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. Reliably hardy across most of the UK. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
