Selenicereus Chrysocardium – Fern Leaf Cactus

The Fern leaf cactus is a rareepiphyllic cactus native to Mexico where it cangrow up to 1.8m wide. It has beautiful trailing stems holding pale leaves that have rounded lobes in a zig-zag pattern.

These are unusual plants to find in the UK houseplant market that grown for mass production so they will have marks that are normal for plants grown by small specialist growers.

Light:

Bright indirect sunlight or semi-shade (morning sun is ideal), avoid direct sun

Water:

Water regularly in spring and summer, let the compost dry out somewhat between waterings. Reduce to every4 weeks in the winter.

Soil:

As an epiphyllic cactus, it likes a light and airy compost as the roots need good airflowAim to repot it every 2 to 3 years.

Fertiliser:

Feed every 3-4 weeks throughout the summer.
