Acer platanoides ‘Drummondii’

A first-rate deciduous tree, commonly known as Norway maple, offering real character in the landscape, prized for its autumn colour.

Expect it to reach around 5m tall by 3m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. It produces green flowers in spring, with attractive grey bark. Fully hardy throughout the UK and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees.
