This set of 6 border turfs is ideal for neatly finishing planting beds, paths or vegetable garden beds. Made of compact, naturally shaped peat blocks, they not only offer a rustic look, but also improve the acidity of the soil – ideal for acid-loving plants such as rhododendrons, ferns, peat moss orchids or certain carnivorous plants.
Peats are compressed blocks of natural peat material, sourced from peat-rich areas. They are cut to size and then dried, making them sturdy enough for use as edging in borders or potting structures, but still moisture-regulating and root-friendly.

– Light in weight on delivery, swell slightly on contact with moisture

The peats can be placed half in the ground for a solid border, or stacked loose in temporary setups or greenhouse structures. Due to their water-buffering effect, they are also very suitable as a natural wall for wet pots or mini swamp boxes.

– The peats decompose slowly over several years
– If desired, refill or replace annually
– Not suitable for structural loading (such as sitting or walking)

– If stored dry, brittle: moisten before use for greater strength
