5″ Hoya Australis ‘Lisa’

Pretty Lisa is a Hoya cultivar of Australis that made the plant scene in 2004 or thereabouts. With her chubby, round leaves and a nice, full figure, Lisa shows her Australis parentage. Paired leaves make their entrance into the world in blazing colors of fuchsia, peach, and pink with green edges. They settle down to a warm, yellowy lime center with the bright emerald, patterned edges with the random pinky blush. All the colors of a sunrise in one pot. A little slower growing than some Hoyas, Lisa also needs careful watering and bright light to keep up her racy colors. Flowers are purest white wax stars, (up close amazingly look fuzzy, like a teddy bear), with an entrancing vanilla-chocolate scent. Really, Lisa is so beautiful!

• Water – Low/Med (2): Doesn’t need as much water, but doesn’t like to stay dry for too long. Plant will become droopy when really thirsty.
• Light – Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handlemorningand afternoon sun directly on leaves.
• Difficulty – Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
