Eastern Cottonwood or Necklace Poplar. USA , Canada and Nth. Mexico. Large deciduous tree 20-40 metres tall. The bark gets fissured with age , but starts out smooth and silver-white. The catkin flowers add an extra element. One of the larger Hardwoods of North America . Foliage is large and triangular in shape hence “Deltoid” . A hardy and fast growing deciduous specimen tree.
