Bottle Gentian (Gentiana andrewsii)

A unique plant with striking blue, closed flowers whose shape give this gentian its common name. Because the flowers are closed and difficult to access, large bumblebees are one of the few insect to visit the flowers. Generally does not reseed as seeds are very small and difficult to establish.
