Echeveria Lipstick definitely has her lipstick on. Plants of geometrically arranged, fleshy, green isosceles triangles end in a point that’s almost a thorn, colored in the best Max Factor Red lipstick. Wintertime cold maxes out the red to color the whole leaf’s edges in a flaming scarlet display, like the plant’s on fire, almost. You have to see that! Seen from above the plant’s perfect design looks like a firework when the red is happening. This Echeveria is a real Mexican Native, not a hybrid, so drifts of Lipstick after cold weather are quite a pretty sight on the Mexican hills. As with all Echeverias, Lipstick blooms on stalks with red flowers and yellow insides.Blooms appear mostly in summer. • Water – Low (1): Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak.Drought tolerant by nature.
• High- (5):Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning(magnifying glass effect).
