Native to the Polynesian islands, the Ming Aralias all share an ancient, antediluvian look of primeval trees; gnarled and bumpy, woody trunks and leathery leaves; you almost expect a dinosaur to be around the corner. Lacy, feathery, ferny, green leaves cling to the wood in clumps on short, speckly stems.
