Crotons thrive in bright, direct to bright indirect light to maintain their bold, multi-coloured leaves. Too little light will dull the vibrancy, while too much harsh midday sun may scorch tender foliage morning sun and afternoon shade is ideal.

Water
Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top 23 cm (about 1 inch) feels dry. They dislike both drought and waterlogging, so use a well-draining mix and never let the pot sit in water. Mist occasionally to boost humidity.
