ZZ Plant: Zamioculcas zamiifolia – 10 inch pot – 2-3 foot tall

Also called the Zanzibar Gem or Zulu Plant, ZZ Plants are a highly resilient plant with origins in the arid climates of Eastern and Southern Africa. ZZ plants grow glossy leaves that sprout in a neat and regular pattern, which typically max out with a modest height and spread of 2-3 feet. Because of their adaptability, ZZ plants are especially suitable for those with minimal plant care experience or time.

Largely self-maintaining, these plants are drought-resistant and tolerate low-lighting better than most (although bright indirect sunlight will promote more growth). With a name meaning prosperity or friendship, ZZ plants can also be propagated from a single leaf – making them ideal for sharing.
