Origins
Aglaonemas are native to the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia, with parent species ranging across southern China, India, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. In the wild they grow in shaded, consistently humid understorey conditions. ‘Cocomelon’ is a modern ornamental cultivar bred for its bold green-and-silver striping.
