A new, rare cultivar with striking, black stems as the name suggests.

• Leaves are large and upward pointing.
• Leaf undersides are also veined in black.
• The black stems are actually very deep red which can sometimes be seen on the sheaths.

Growth pattern: Tuberous, tall & upright

Water: Little and often. Keep moist but not waterlogged.

Ideal Position: South, east or north facing

Light: Medium to bright, indirect light.

Humidity disclaimer: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet. However, all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. To achieve this we suggest grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen which gets regular use.
