A rare Philodendron with heavily textured, glossy foliage. Philodendron baudoense ‘Amazonas’ produces elongated, lance-shaped leaves with deep, pronounced venation that gives the foliage a quilted, textured appearance and catches the light across each leaf. The colour is a rich, glossy mid-green, and the leaves are held on sturdy petioles from a climbing stem. It is a hemiepiphyte and develops significantly larger, more dramatic foliage when given a moss pole to climb.

Origins
Native to the tropical forests of Colombia and neighbouring regions of western South America, Philodendron baudoense grows in wet, humid forest, climbing from the forest floor into the mid-canopy.
