The Asplenium Parvati has very distinctive, thick, dark green fronds, which are quite different from any others. The leaves are hardy and shiny giving the plant an extremely robust nature, making it very forgiving of periods of drought, dry air conditions and temperature fluctuations.

This Asplenium hybrid was created by Chris Goudey of Austral Ferns in Victoria, Australia. Its technical Latin name is Asplenium dimorphum x difforme (x Parvati) and it is also sometimes known as Asplenium Austral Gem.
