(Viola arvensis) Annual

Wild pansy is an easy to grow annual wildflower. Found growing throughout North and South America and all the way up to Greenland, this little gem has a lot to offer in such a small and sweet looking flower.

Wild pansies are edible and have a flavour slightly reminiscent of Wintergreen. Be sure to try its beautiful creamy-white blossoms on salads, sandwiches and desserts!

Seed sowing: Direct seed after risk of frost has passed.

Sun: Prefers full sun, but can grow in a variety of light conditions. Prefers cool season weather, will wilt back in the hot summer.

Soil: Moist, well-draining.

Planting tip: Pair with flower bulbs. Great as a ground cover.

Plant spacing: Space or thin plants 6-12 inches apart, will spread to about 9 to 12 inches. Can reach heights of 6 to 12 inches.
